From Mentally Ill to Mentally Still

my journey through mental health recovery

I define myself as many things: social worker, poet, photographer, intersectional feminist, interior designer, daughter, friend, cat mom, french fry enthusiast, and mentally ill.

Mental illness has had a hold of me since early childhood; its grip becoming horrifyingly tight in early adolescence. My experience with mental illness has impacted every aspect of my life in both beautiful and disheartening ways. Follow my journey as I continue to recover from major depression, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, and pure-obsessional OCD.
